Default Whistling noise from my 2008 Hyundai Elantra

My 2008 Hyundai Elantra has periodically been making a whistling noise when I am driving; though it stops when I press the brake. I don't notice any performance or handling issues. Anybody know or have an idea what might cause this?

How many miles? What type of driving (city or highway)? The brakes probably need to be replaced.

I had my brakes checked today, and my mechanic said they were fine.

Does it only occur when pretty girls are in area?

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have an 07 elantra that's been doing the same thing, now the noise doesn't seem to stop, its pretty much always there when im driving.
