Got Rid of the 2009 Touring
So long Touring forum and my 2009 Touring. I began to have intermittent auto trans problems ( upshift into no gear - freewheeling) that the dealer could not find. He drove the car a total of 3 mile then gave it back claiming he could not find an intermittent problem (in three miles). I mentioned TSB #13-AT-005 which describes the concern in almost exact detail. The dealer admitted he did not follow the service procedures detailed in that TSB. The dealer's General Manager told me to just keep driving until it happens again then bring it in. My reply was if you feel it will happen again just fix it now - don't leave me stranded on the road.
The Touring has been replaced - but not with another Hyundai.

Agreed, the car has a terrible build quality. My main issue was the common alignment issue (wear) among other things, Got rid of it? Good for you. Traded it in myself a few weeks ago for a Mazda CX 5, like a breath of fresh air. No more Hyundais...

Im verry happy with my elantra touring. I understand every make and model of car is never going to be 100% perfect, 100% of the time.
Perhaps my expectations of Hyundai were so low I had no high expectations, but so far My ET is rasing the bar.
Evey new make of car or truck I have owned in the past has allways had issues, some major, some minor.
Best of luck with your new roll of the dice, Buying any new car or truck is playing the lottery with your money.
