Snow tire question

Snow tire question
I have 4 snow tires that are 215/50R/17's. Other than a change in a slight odometer reading and speedometer reading is there any reason that they wouldn't work replacing the original 215/45R/17's for the winter? and by the way would the speedometer be slower or faster and the odometer more or less?

Snow (215/50-17) = 24.6" tall
Stock (215/45-17) = 25.5" tall
The snow tires are slightly taller (0.9") so the speedometer and odometer will be lower than actual (approx 3.4%). You will be driving slightly faster than indicated on the speedometer and you will drive slightly further than indicated on the odometer. At an indicated 60-mph, you will actually be traveling approx 62-mph.
No, there is no real problem with that size. My snow tires are taller than stock as well. Stock is 235/60-16 (27.1" tall) but the snows are 215/70-16 (27.9" tall). That's a difference of 0.8", approx 2.8%.
