Squeaking seat?

Squeaking seat?
My 2010 SE has a squeaking driver's seat. The squeaking happens whenever there is a shift in weight (ie. when stopping, speeding up, turning, etc).
The squeak is loud enough that a passenger in the car can hear it, even with the stereo on. The driver can certainly hear it.
The dealer today said that is is considered 'normal' for a 1-year old car. Other people who have been in my car have heard this, and nobody ever mentioned this to be normal.
Anybody else experience this?

I've had this issue! It was the long metal part coming up from the floor that holds the seat-belt buckle. The dealer couldn't reproduce the problem so I wrapped a sock around it so it wouldn't move from side-to-side. That fixed it.
I plan to have the dealer fix this the right way but I can't stand making special trips for such a minor thing.
Give it a try... hopefully it works for you.

I had a squeaking front passenger seat. Wasn't too bad unless the road was really rough... or someone was sitting in the seat! The dealership told me it was the plastic panel on the seat base rubbing against the metal of the seat. They "fixed" it by adjusting the panel, but it came back. Just had the car in this morning and they put felt tape on the panel clips. So far no squeaking! We'll see if it lasts...

We also experienced a squeaking which we located to the center console. The service tech "tightened everything" but could not fix it. He checked a floor model ET and discovered the same issue.

Finally got this resolved today (I hope). The dealer had greased the seat pivot and track and that did not fix it. This time I was more persistent.
The service manager took the headrest out and bent the two metal prongs and that made an improvement, but did not totally fix it. They then took the back-rest apart and tightened and greased some components of the back rest (the parts that help to push the headrest forward during a collision, that is supposed to help prevent whiplash) and that finally did the trick.
Happy with the resolution right now as it was the first time they did something that seemed to fix it. Hopefully this is a long-term fix.

Like I mentioned, its inside the back of the seat. Not the rails. Absolutely no way to spray anything on it without taking the seat partially apart.
