Default TPMS light

Last weekend I was driving along ... out of town, of course... and the TPMS light came on. DH looked it up in the manual. The van seemed to be driving ok, but we pulled over and checked the tires anyway. Did not shut off the van. All the tires were fine. Got back in the car and drove another 2 miles or so and the light went off. What's this all about?

There are 2 lights, what one came on? The (!) light or the TPMS light?

(!) = low tire pressure
TPMS = problem with the tire pressure sensor system

The "TPMS" light. Haven't seen it come on again and we have driven 500 miles since.

We previously had trouble with the seat belt light and had to have the whole system reset about 4 months ago.

Okay, that just means the system itself had a fault. If it went off on it's on then the problem was nothinh major. Usually it's that the system lost contact with one of the sensors in the wheels.
