Probably a bit late for you needs but worth mentioning.

Ive had my Getz 1.5 CRDi for a month and its totally blown every preconception i ever had about deisel cars.
i get at least 600Km on 40Ltrs of Diesil. The power totally suprised me and everyone thats driven it. I live in an area in New Zealand
with lots of windy forest ranges in all directions and i seem to have more power than most of the large 4wd vehicles i pass :-)
If your wanting to save money, do a fair amount of traveling and dont need a lot of room, then id say this is the vehicle your looking for.
As i travel alone a lot theres actually plenty of storage room in the back when you fold the back seats up against the back of the front seats. (about 3/4 the space of a station wagon).
Last trip i put 4 large Computer Servers in packaging in the boot with room to spare.

My next mission is to improve corner handling at high speed, as i like to go fast on the windy roads.. (not something most poeple would buy a car like this for).
Ill post any findings i have if i ever getz around to fitting sports suspension and different tyres.

As whojarr said they are quite fast as I have the new 4 pot 16 valve turbo engine which goes like hell when the turbo comes in, it pulls away good from the stand still just like a petrol car.
Hills are no problem it flys up them as if they are not there!

hi... i own a getc 1.5 CRDi too and for me as a student its really really practical for me since you can really save on fuel... it really goes fast and high powered one... a friend of mine test drive my car for he bought the new nissan sentra 1.6 and its really a waste on gasoline since it consumes lot of fuel and it is gasoline... he told me that driving the 1.6 sentra is same as getz and he can feel the speed and power more on getz compare to his sentra since getz has a small body...so he decided to swap his 1.6 sentra to a 1.5 getz... hehehe...

i'm planning to pimp my car... know some sites wherein i can see and have ideas if what is good for my car???
