Default 02 santa fe code p1167

it has over 200,000 miles on it. been running perfect till yesterday.
will rev up just fine in park neutral. driving has very noticable reduced power. half to be very light on the pedal to get it up to speed, which tops out at about 65-70. if at anypoint you floor it, it falls flat onits face. not a hyudai mechanic by any means but do have a snap on solus scanner hooked to though im not very knowledgeable in using it.

the problem reared its head while driving home last night, like some just flipped a switch... bam... no power. was thinking catalytic converter. but after driving 45 min all highway to get home i imeddiatly checked to see if any of the four were glowing .... nope.

hooked up to the scanner the o2 sensors between b1 and b2 are miles apart and after it warms up b2 both up and down stream "lock up" .

i have more info if needed. any help would be appreciated , thanks!

wel after pulling the rear o2 sensors inspecting and cleaning and reinstalling, the problem still exists with no change. after looking at it some more i discoverd that bank 2 is actually the front bank, not what you would think nor what i read on the internet. sooooo i pulled the front heat shield to access the upper o2 sensor and aaaahhhhaaaa i found the problem!

a crack in the exhuast manifold!!!! a new manifold is well over $500, um ya not for me. so off to the parts store i go. found permatex makes a epoxy just for exhaust manifolds. drilled two 1/8 holes on either end of the crack, v'd out the crack wire wheeled the area and applied epoxy and left sit for a day.

pulled the o2 sensors on that bank also cleaned and reinstalled.

after driving the vehicle for about 20 miles the computer readjusted itself for a manifold with no crack in it. and no its running correctly again!!

total cost of repair $ 14.99, now that more my speed. and if it cracks again i still have half a tube left over!
