04 Santa Fe heater control problem
I have a '04 Santa Fe and I'm having some weird problems with the cabin heater control. Here are the scenarios:
Just as a side note there is no difference what speed the blower fan is set at (but I tried between 2 & 4)
1. When I set the control to the Windshield position, I get some air blowing but sounds like all the air is blown to where theblower motor is.
2. When I set the control to blow at the seat level posiotion (eg front of dash & doors), I get more air coming out than at the windshield position but still not the full blow.
Only sometimes when I change to the windshield position I can hear like a 'flap' and then I get the full blow of air on the windshield.
Anyone had a problem like that? Just want to know before I start tearing into the dashboard.
Thanks in advance for any tips.

RE: 04 Santa Fe heater control problem
Since I did not get any help on the forum, dealer was useless (clueless as well, they wanted to replace the Blower Motor (idiots)), I proceeded to rip into my dash......
Bingo.... The climate control works now like a charm!
What I did:
I removed the entire glove compartment.
I undid all the electrical connectors that are attached to the climate control, cleaned them, and then reconnected them again...
End Result: WORKS!
Appears that there must have been a bad connection on one of the connectors, I did not waste time trying to figure out which one.
This would explain why the controls would work fine and then the unit would go into Default mode (as if the blower was turned off)
