ok i have an 08 gls and was wondering how to get to the cabin filter and if its located in the usual spot in the glove box, also how much of a pain is it to deal with. With my 94 blazer it was a 1 min job tops.

 

It's behind the glove box.. open it, and get it so it will lay down to expose the opening... I seem to recall it is in a tray. I had pic of 1 a while back, but likely erased the pic.

It's not hard, probably have it done in no more than 5-10 minutes.

 

Just changed my wife's the other day. Very easy.... IF you have one. Maybe not on the GLS. Open the glove box, push the square tabs on each side inward to the box (come out like an "S" shape, disconnect the brace on the right, and you'll find the filter in a "drawer" straight in. Squeeze the clamps top and bottom, and it comes right out.

Don't know about you, but I replace mine with some 2" batting that I got at Walmart. Good filter, more air flow, and cheaper.

got it done in 2 mins...replaced with filter from rockauto for 7.00...same part dealer wanted almost 90.00 for lol
