Default Camshaft Position Sensor Error Code 0010 and 0340

2017 Santa Fe Sport. 2.4:, 72,000 kms. Looking for help in trying to diagnose codes 0010 and 0340, both related to camshaft position sensor. Replaced the camshaft sensor to no avail. The ICM is all confused now and is mis-timing the ignition and it is running like a bag of bones. Anyone have any clues as to whether this is something else masquerading as a faulty sensor before I take it in again? Thanks

If the tool is telling us the circuit is open, that is where a diagnosis should begin. Thorough visual check of all connections and verification of signal are good places to begin.

Thanks. I traced back the plug wires to the fork off the mainline and no breaks, cracks, nicks or anything. I suspect as this car is only 5 yrs old, it is doubtful anything is broken farther up. I then tested the plug and got 12V on the supply and 4.8 coming back on the signal wire. I dunno this one has me scratching my head. At normal operating temp, the idle is about 1500 rpms too now, so the ICM is likely compensating.
