Help with timing mark alignments on 2002 2.7
I was attempting to replace water pump. Then realized it was covered by warrenty. I am a bit leary on the timing marks on the sprockets not lined up and do not want to proceed without some advice. How can you get the two sprokets to line up. I believe when I removed timing belt the left closest to back moved about 8 teeth like it was on a spring. Advice please.

Too late for the warranty, you just voided it. Not a big deal if you can get the water pump on and the timing belt. Here is some pics. There are little dots on the gears that correspond with marking on the motor.

Thanks
I kinda thought that I might of done that to the warrenty. I see all the marks on the sprockets and the then on the engine. But can I turn the left cam shaft to get them to line up? I have no problem finishing the job but was leary on getting the timing lined up correctly.

Sure, you can turn the camshaft. Just make sure it's in the same direction that it always turns, don't go backwards. Even if you do go backwards, it's no big deal, just don't force it. The direction is CLOCKWISE. Put a ratchet on the cam bolt and turn it.

Confusion on crankshaft mark
The picture you showed is different then on line at Hyundai. The timing mark per hyundai web site is about 1 a clock per the metal marking.
If you pull the large sprocket off and the inner teeth there is a blue/white marking. Is this the timing mark for the crankshaft?
