High Pitched Sound under dash
Upon starting car today I noticed a very high pitched sound coming from the dash below the steering wheel. It is not loud, but is constant and almost sounds like a warning buzz, but is much to low in volume to be one. Interestingly when the car is turned offed the sound continues. It is in my garage and has continued for about 2 hours.
Any ideas?

I would hope the original poster had it taken care of since it was back in 2009.
Depending on if it is electrical or possibly vacuum leaking out.
There are 2 ways to approach this.
One is to start removing fuses until it stops, once you determine the circuit , you go from there, but if you do that , now you have to wait for it to do it again.
The other way is to do voltage drop testing over each fuse and there will be one that will have a drop and now you know which circuit is involved and you have a better idea where to start checking . That makes a big difference because you can continue checking until you pin down the cause.
Don't know if you want to go after this.

You could be more right than you think.
One thing, you are there and I am here, can't see anything, can't hear anything.
Many times the vehicle owner knows when something sounds different and can relate much better where they feel the problem area might be.
If it is that easy to get it back, I would consider pulling the fuses and replacing them one at a time until you find the one that stops it. If you can get that done we may be able to assist where to go from there.
