Hi all,
2004 Santa Fe is leaking from the rear differential cover plate. I would have though this would have a gasket...hmm no..per the dealer grey RTV silicone.
Question, is this pretty straight forward? Remove the bolts drain oil clean both sealing areas and apply RTV silicone refill. Install bolts.. Am I missing anything. Does anyone know the torque specs on the bolts?
Dealer wanted 12.14 1 hr cure autozone 7.49 24 hr cure no biggie

I have noticed 2 bolts at the very top that seems to be part of the cover but clearance seems to be an issue but I could be wrong. does anyone know about the removal of this face plate mainly those top 2 bolts. there's also a bracket under the differential but not sure if it would be low enough when it rest on it for the bolts to clear the top cross frame member.
