Hi guys,

I have a 2001 Santa Fe.

When I drive, the gear shift is really abrupt and is not changing smoothly like it should.

I have run a diagnostic check and it indicated that the input and output sensors and shift solenoid are showing faults. There is also a fault showing on the MAF sensor. However, I think this is probably unrelated to the shifting issue.

I have replaced the output sensor but cannot find the input sensor or shift solenoid.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where these items are (photos would be really helpfull!)?

Also, has anyone else had this trouble and if so, what did they do to fix the problem??

A lot of text, but not the first DTC to know where the faults lay..

List out the DTC(s) please..

Pulse generators, periodically on that chassis... shift soleniods -> dont recall going to replace anythng on them..

There is also a shift program update I think,, possibly a 2.7 engine upgrade too.

 

HI everyone ,Does anyone have a clue on what l need to replace ,l just got this 2001 santa fe v6 2.7 awd and while driving on D around 50 mph when it made a click soundlike it shifted to 2nd and check engine lite came on ....l slowed down and checked the transmission oil its all ok and continued driving home ...now it felt like l was pulling a fifth wheeler and would not get out of 3rd gear to forth or 5th .......took to auto shop they read code P1167and po715. They reset the code and again it did the same thing now code P1529 and P0715 ...so now l am scared to drive this and did l make a wide choice buying a hyundai ...l love this and always wanted a awd so l can go to the mountains and safe for my wife and kids on snow weather here ...so please help me anyone paid all my taxes return for this suv now what ...hope its a cheap fix or nothing major please help

 

hi just wondered if yours was a 2001 santa fe awd v6 2.7...mine is justt doing the same thing is there anything l need to replace which speed sensor in put or output ...is yours ok now let me know
