Default Squealing belt, 02 2.7

Already put on a new belt and one new idler wheel, the other seemed fine. The belt will wonder and rub on the auto tensioner or will rub right on the engine, it rubbed through the plastic already, all the pullies turn ok, dont see or hear a wobble. The new belt was just a tad longer than the old one, maybe I need a belt just a tad shorter than the old one. The tensioner seems to be ok.

On my now deceased '03, the crank pulley went bad. The pulley is the outer part of the harmonic dampener. The pulley came unbonded from the rubber dampening medium, and would chirp and squeak. It did this for quite a while- several thousand miles- before it got too annoying and I figured out what it was. I'm really amazed it didn't come off! The LFD (local friendly dealer) had it in stock- something like 128 bucks comes to mind. Was easy to change thru the wheel well. Hope this helps...

didnt think to check that, I did have 2 terrible strut mounts, terrible design, put it up on the lift and wam the struts fell right out, just held in by bonded rubber

Front or rear? Went 216k with no trouble before the fatal accident...
