04 sonata leak
I got an 04 sonata 2.7 v6 3 weeks ago and about 2 days ago I noticed a leak. Its a slow leak, I can not determine if it is AC fluid, or coolant from the water pump. I took it to a garage to get the oil changed and they said it was the water pump, but from what I feel, it seems to be from the AC compressor. Its got 43,000 miles on it and I want to know if I should pay the 700$ for a fix, or let it leak. Thing is, it is an interference motor, so if either the compressor or water pump goes bad when driving, will the pulleys still spin, or lock up and blow the engine? I have to go on a 1500 mile trip and dont know if I should fix it or not.

Seep hole for the water pump vents out just above the A/C compressor..
Look at front corner of engine/upper oil pan and tell me if you see white/green color crust or moisture.. If yes, the water pump is leaking.
Replace it before the pump shaft takes a dump on you, or coolant leaks all out and you TOAST the engine via overheat..
Lose the belt, can crunch engine.. repair it if you want to keep it.

its greenish fluid, doesnt smell like the radiator fluid. I compaired both radiator fluid and the green fluid I found on the ground. The radiator fluid is perfectly clear with no tint/ while this has a green tint to it.

ya, its turning white where it dried so its radiator fluid. waste of 11 grand if you ask me. 7500 for the car,+ 2000 in dealer expenses, registration, taxes, and insurance. what it needs now is 600$ for this repair, the rotors need to be turned, and tranny fluid is black. I personally wouldnt have bought it, but my dad bought it behind my back.
