2000 sonata, any problems?
#1
Hi everybody my name is Russ and i live in a small east tx town. im currently on the market for a new/used car. i work at a car lot here in my town and we have gotten in a very very clean 2000 hyundai sonata. its a gls v6 with leather and sunroof. ive never owned a hyundai but was thinking about buying this one since my wifes 98 camry gave out on us. i guess what im wondering is what are some of the typical problems these cars have and what should i be careful of with them. i noticed the motor is kinda noisey but i dont think its anything serious. the car only has 91,000 on it so i know it has got to have alot more life
i posted this in the new members area but found this so ill post it here to. im looking at buying a 2000 sonata gls v6 with 91,000 miles and automatic trans here on the car lot i work at but was wondering what should i be lookin for in it? did they have alot of troubles and were they reliable cars? would you put your spouse and kids in one for a 6 hour drive one way? really wanna research this car before making a decision
i keep reading review after review on this car and so many people hate it BUT it seems like they all live in cold areas that involve alot of salt rot. problems with sensors and the car stalling and all that i know can be caused but excessive corrosion from these salted roads. thats definatly not a problem here in tx but still i have alot of concern about this car and would like to actually here some good about them. so far it has been all bad
