Default 2000 Sonata, major issues *wont start*

Have a 2000 sonata that was having problems when driving (would die, or shift very hard, sometimes would not go about 30 MPH and my RPMs would go crazy). I parked the car at my Mom's place and was driving another vehicle, but would start the car every so often and run it for a bit. Now, after we had quite a snowstorm, the car would not start. Interior everything still works fine. First time I tried to start it, it cranked a little but nothing. Tried to jump it but did not start still. Now when I turn the key, no noises or anything.

PLEASE any suggestions would be great. I'm sure some of you can relate to money being SUPER tight so I can't just take it in somewhere. I appreciate any info you can throw my way.

You're describing quite a few problems. If you put the key in it, and it won't turn over, no sound, etc, then probably the battery is dead. How old is the battery?

Also, these cars are sensitive to a weak battery condition, and it is possible all your other problems are related.

The battery was purchased May 07. I am going to take it in to get tested and if they say it's bad, they will replace it for free. I will post specs of the battery when I can get back to the car to look, maybe it's not the right kind or something??

Thanks. Will post when I find out more.

If you have remote key locks, then there is always a voltage drain. It's probably the right battery, just got run down. It probably just needs a charge.
