2003 Hyundai Sonata (Light Problem)
Hey I'm new here. So forgive me if this is in the wrong thread section. I have a 2003 Hyundai Sonata, 56k miles, low profile tires and fairly expensive rims, dual catback exhaust, a cold air intake and a remote start that I just picked up. The deal was this guy bought it for his son and the son never paid him back so hes selling it and he has absolutely no idea about anything on the car. I picked it up for $3550. The only thing is the head lights (both low and high?) and front blinkers don't work. The back however do, I had a mechanic look at it mostly for engine, fluids, and body work before I bought it but he forgot to check the lights. I asked a few people including a Hyundai dealers service center and I received tons of responses. Things from fuses, grounds, new relay switch, bulbs etc. Its even a possibility the kid could of started doing an HID conversion. Im just kinda worried because one of the service guys told me it could cost around $600 to fix it. Ive heard of up scaling the product but $600? I really don't want to pay that if its something simple. Has this happened to anyone else? I know nothing about lights or electrical on cars.
If someone could help that would be greatly appreciated!
