Default 2006 Sonata LX V6 - 45,000 miles service - what's really needed?

Ok I know soon you'll be in the same situation as I am...~ 2 yrs old and 45,000 miles. I've already replaced my air filter with a K&N filter so that's set.

I am going to go in for the normal oil change / tire rotation bit......

I have yet to replace the filter behind the glove compartment (for air circulation) nor have I had the spark plugs and wires changed....apparently when they built the v6 they put two plugs behind the motor requiring a major job to replace otherwise I would do it myself......

Recently (June ish I call that recent) I had the coolant and tranny fluid drained and replaced (full drain).

So what are your thoughts? There is no fuel filter to change, I inspect my own brakes/rotors/calipers.

I can probably change the distributor cap (and rotor if needed) if I look for them I guess...not sure if that's needed yet.

Thoughts / suggestions are appreciated!

that year sonata doesn't use a distributor cap nor rotor. it seems you are pretty much set. usually the drain and refill for the tranny, i would recommend a flush instead. besides that i'll say you're ok. also, if you're going to a private shop to service your tranny or diy, use hyundai recommended fluid, it makes a difference.
