Default 2007 with bad visors

from what i have read, this is a common problem on sonatas.

I just bought a 2007 v6 limited sonata. it is in pretty much perfect condition... except that both visors are make cracking sounds and the passenger visor now hangs at a 45 degree angle.

I would like to replace the visors and was wondering what range of years can i search when looking for used visors.
If wikipedia is correct, my car falls in the : Fifth generation (NF, 2005–2010), but would a visor off an older model also fit a 2007 sonata?

also, does anyone know of another fix for these visors... I'm not scared to take the thing apart and do some self-repair. as long as it looks good.

Buy the new one from dealer... grabbing old ones from recycle will not be positive that the donor had new style visors installed..

If you the recycled parts, you need to stay with same family, and they is different for "sunroof" or "no sunroof"..

Also a 5/60 covered item.

The replacement part must be an improvement. The driver's side visor on my 08 Limited was drooping pretty bad at 15K when I had it replaced by the dealership. At 30K, the new visor is holding up like new.

Default money issues

seeing as how i just bought the car used... i wouldn't think a hyundai dealership would do anything for me.
I priced a new visor from hyundai and they are $85 each. so two of them after taxes would pretty much be $200. I was kind of hoping to spend half that.

Secondary owners get the balance of the 5y/60k mile warranty. Your 2007 is covered until 2012 or 60,000 miles, whatever comes first. Go back to the dealer and have them replaced under warranty.

I bought my wifes 2006 Kia Sedona used and the drivers visor started falling. It was replaced for free.

I'm at 62,xxx... i'll try though.

I got a good deal for it being somewhat high mileage (averging 15k + per year)... meanwhile i usually put less than 10k a year on my cars (i could walk to work if i wasn't lazy )

If you're at 62K, your warranty is over. You'll have to buy new.

4-cyl or V6? If it has a V6, listen for a ticking noise on cold start-up. It's not a major problem but the timing chain tensioner needs replacement. It should be done under warranty.

Send me your VIN via instant message here on the site.. I run VIN through Hyundai' WEBDCS sometime tomorrow morning and report back during lunch.

I'll take a look at warranty claims on vehicle and see if the tensioners been claimed, and provide some assist to other things to catch up on... is this a Hyundai dealer sales car ?
