broken springs
ive got a '97 2.0ltr sonata that went off song when i was driving it. did the usual things and changed plugs and leads to no avail no i started swapping things around and found no.2 was down. on inspection it had broken an exhaust valve spring and the follower was lying at the bottom of the cam box. i would like to remove the exhaust cam and replace the spring 'in situ' if possible, but how do you go about removing the timing belt? there looks like an awful lot of stuff in the way including the engine mount, any ideas - without buying a service manual ?
