In dash Navigation system Question
Hi,
I am new to this forum, just bought my 2008 Sonata Limited Friday and want to put an in dash navigation system in. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any recommendations on what will fit? I like the Kenwood DNX8120 but it does not appear that it will fix. I know that Hyundai now has a nav system that will be in the 2009s but even if that fit my car I don't want to go to that expense. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Barbi

Crutchfield's shows 4 or 5 in dash navigation/stereo systems that will work in the 2008 Sonata with their adapter kit. The problem with the 2008 Sonata (I have a 2008 Limited too) is that the stock stereo is mounted in the crown of the dash and nobody supplies aftermarket systems that have faces that match the contour. Crutchfield does offer an adapter that does match the dash contour to permit some aftermarket component to be installed, but I think the adapter only comes in a flat black. You might be able to get the adapter painted or dyed to match the color of the dash. Crutchfield provides pretty good support if you have questions regarding installation.
