Default Hardwiring Valentine1 to fusebox?

Has anyone come across instructions for hardwiring a valentine 1 radar detector to the fusebox in the 2011 sonata? I used the back windshield wiper fuse slot on my last car (since it didn't have a back wiper). I'm not sure how best to go about wiring it into my sonata. Thanks.

Let me look it up. I'll get back to you with what you need to tap. You need a 12 volt switched, right?

Do you have an auto-dimming mirror? If so, switched power is orange wire, pin 10. Ground is black wire, pin 8.

Just figured out an easy way if you don't have an auto dimming mirror. Get an "add a circuit" from Auto Zone, etc., and use the "Clock" fuse in the distribution block. That's switched with power on. Of course, you'll need to find a suitable ground but I'm sure there is one somewhere around there. If you can't find a ground, put a small ring terminal on the V1 ground wire and use a self-tapping screw into some metal.

Should be easy. Just tap the orange wire for switched power, then the black wire for ground.
