Default help! trying to decide!

Hey everyone!I just bought a new 2011 black sonata and the salesperson and manager ( of sales ) AND THE GUY IN FINANCING ALL SAID I NEEDED this special wax indoor /outdoor protectant for an additional $667.00!!!! There is no way I can afford this, but when I ask around no one tell me what kind of wax it is exactly. The dealor guys says no one can duplicate it and it even keeps the inside like new when something is spilled.. What brand do you all recommend? THANKS SO MUCH!!!

First, if you can afford to buy a $20,000 brand new 2011 Sonata please don't say you can't afford something that is $667. That is less than 3% of the cost of the car. The taxes alone are probably double that. So you are exaggerating.

However, that "special protectant" is a total waste of money. You don't need it. And if they are pushing it on you so hard then I'd suggest walking away from that dealership and finding another. It's one thing to offer it if someone body wants it but it's a whole other thing to force it on somebody.

Agreed. The reason they are pushing it on you so hard is that it is a huge money maker for them. In some cases they will make more money selling you that than selling you the car.

You don't need those products but if you want them you could pay much less by getting them somewhere else after taking delivery of the car.

Thanks for your imput. Just because I bought a new Hyundai, doesn't mean I can afford it. That said, I was trying to find out if anyone new the name of the wax the dealer uses, or does anyone have a specific brand they like to help protect the car. Especially the fact that they said they use it on the inside and out. Appreciate the response.
