HYUNDAI CONSUMER AFFAIRS
#22
welcome to the noise club!
I have been experiencing front and rear banging noise when traveling at speeds of between 25-40mph mostly @ 30-35mph.
Seems to be worse when temp is cold.
Noise started , I thought, in the front but seems to be front and rear. Hard to really pin-point due to unibody design.
Needless to say, I finally had a drive test with a factor rep and wouldn't you know it, the car just didn't make the volume of noise to truly share the annoying experience with the Hyundai rep.
I also believe it has to do with the weight in the car-- how many passangers, full fuel tank, etc. When the car rides light the noise is worse.
And of course, with half a tank and no passengers and colder temperatures, the noise came right back-- very loud.
I was told by Hyundai, no problems found.
Well, the battle isn't over. I am going to my own suspension specialists for 2nd and third opinions and then requesting another Hyundai Factory Rep drive. This banging noise is driving me crazy.
Regards,
