Default new hyudai owner here with questions

I recently purchased a 2007 Sonata with about 57k on it. For the most part, it's a great car. It gets decent mpg's unlike my jeep and it's quiet and smooth on the road. The only thing that concerns me is the strange hesitation or lunging feeling I get while drving it at lower speeds. I wouldn't say the tranny is slipping but the rpms kinda drop sometimes and I could feel it through the car while it's shifting. Maybe it's just my imagination since I'm used to driving a jeep. I'm gonna get the tranny flushed and see if it makes it better. I've read some threads with similar problems on here, but would like to get some more info from you guys!

it's an automatic by the way.

If the transmission fluid hasn't been changed or you're not sure whether it has been it wouldn't hurt to do that. Make sure the correct SPIII fluid is used.

Don't forget that the car is under warranty until 60,000 miles. If you really think there is a problem it would be a good idea to get it into a dealer and have it checked out. If you don't and you have some sort of failure after the 60K has passed and you didn't already have the issue documented by the dealer you will be on your own.

I agree. The trans fluid should be changed every 30K miles (SP-III fluid ONLY). So if you're not sure it it was, change it now. And like was said above, you get the blance of the 5y/60k warranty so get it checked now at a dealer.
