Default Opinions on 4 or 6 cylinder Sonata

Hello,

I am about to buy a new Sonata but am undecided as to the 4 or 6 cylinder. Most of my driving is done within both a small town and rural area. I would appreciate any comments anyone may have as to the pros and cons of the 4 versus the 6 cylinder.

Thanks in Advance,

Gino

Before I bought my Azera, I started out to buy the Sonata. I didn't want a 4-cylinder anything, but I have a friend in Florida that has a 4-cylinder Sonata, and he is very pleased with it. I liked the way the Azera felt on the road, and the 6-cylinder engine feels like an 8-cylinder car. I used to drive Ford Crown Victorias, but these Hyundai cars are comfortable, well built, and have more safety features than what you are going to get on an American car. If I didn't need to get on the interstate frequently, I would have considered 4-cylinders. I need power, and the Azera accelerates so gracefully ... you don't need to put the pedal to the floor, it will fly when you ask it to move. These are fabulous cars! You won't be disappointed in a 6-cylinder Hyundai ... drive them and see how they feel to you. I love the warranties too.

If you are taking quick jonts through town quite frequently I would take the 4-cyl for the gas mileage alone.

I havent driven any Sonata's yet, but I'm sure whatever you choose, you won't be dissappointed. 4-Cylinder might sound ecconomical, but if you're always carryin 3 or 4 other adult passengers and/or heavy items, I'm not sure how ecconical that is compared to a V6 in regards to power to load ratio. I don't think it makes a dramatic difference but it's still worth considering.
