hello all! i am a new member as you can tell. but with a big problem. i thought my rear upper control arm bushings were bad but as i was tearing it apart i found that they are still good. It looks like the mount is bad. i went threw the oem web sites to see about new mounts and the show the wrong ones.
this is what they show
it shows i need part 5. mine does not look like that at all. my control arm and strut mount at the same piece that bolts to the car. any help would be great. thank you

Well, you gots the wrong pic first off, there is more to the rear than you have posted
Can I guess you is trying to remedy a nice clunking in the rear when hitting small bumps or rock the steering wheel hard to make body rock and knock ....
You need to look here at top of the bracket at upper strut mounting,, old chassis had compressed foam that blows apart with age,,, then there is a mile of lash, and the washer there slaps the mount, hence the knock-clunk.. in the end, you need to replace the upper and lower bushings with the rubber type, a sleeve, and a nut I think it is.. the pics I have are of the newer rubber type that hold the load better over time..
After you secure the upper mounting, make sure you have purchased (2) rear sway bar bushing, as you will find the clunk to still be there when done, as the lash from the mounts beats the tar out of the sway bar and bushings (sway bar flops around in the bushing' bore).

its not the foam in the strut mount. i have replaced all things in the strut area. its most definitely where the upper control arm mounts i can rock the arm in and out. the green area is where my clunk is. what can i do to fix that?

If parts is broken, replace them... that large steel thing you unbolted from chassis with the upper arm and strut attached is a seperate part,,, and it is available as a service part...
Go to dealer and order the parts you need to make it right. New mount, new bolts to assemble arm to the mount, possible strut mount bushings if rotted along with nut.
