Replacing Driver Door Outside Mirror assy
My 2009 Sonata LTD was recently side swiped and the mirror housing and glass are broken. Has anyone taken this off for repair and how is it done?

I haven't done it myself but have seen threads of others that have and it seems very easy. You just have to pop off the inside cover plate and undo the three nuts which hold the mirror in place as well as disconnect the power wires to the mirror and then install the new mirror.

Outside Rear View Mirror Relplacement
- When prying with tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1.Remove the quadrant inner cover (A), then disconnect the connector (B).
2.After disconnecting the connector (A), remove the outside rear view mirror (B).
3.Installation is the reverse of removal.
