Default RPM fluncuations

With my 6speed manual transmission, fully warmed at idle produces 650 rpm.
If you start rolling, still in neutral with clutch engaged, the rpm bumps up to 1100.

The rpm also hangs at 1100 for until coming to a stop in gear or in neutral.

Why is this happening?

Please explain the issue better. I don't understand the problem.
How do you "start rolling, still in neutral with clutch engaged". Do you mean rolling down hill? I don't see how you start rolling in neutral.

Again, I don't know what this means.

I would venture he is speaking of the STUPID idle up hold that Hyundai has when you drop throttle shut and push down clutch pedal to the shift, and during that time, the idle stays increased, rather than drop to idle like my Toyota..

More BS engineering..

If your foot is not depressing the clutch (to DIS-engage it) then the clutch is engaged which means it is contacting the flywheel and turning at engine speeds.

Thanks, but I understand how a clutch works. I'm looking for a better explanation/description of the problem.

Like how you " start rolling, still in neutral". And exactly what does "rpm also hangs at 1100 for until coming to a stop in gear or in neutral" mean?

Any down hill will get you rolling.
I don't know how to explain it better than my original post, guess I should delete it.
