Hi could someone help me. I have a 2011 Sonata 2.4GLS which is giving me Air
Conditioner problems. My Vin:KMHEC41CMBA219485. When vehicle is parked in the hot sun for about 5 hours, and when you switch on the Air Con it blows out outside air for approx. 20 min. even while driving it blows out cool air. I had the system checked by the local a Hyundai Dealer and they told me its normal. I have the car from new and this is the 1st time this fault has reared its head. The high pressure pipe gets hot and low pressure pipe gets cold. Water does come out of the drain pipe, lots of it but not cooling sufficient. I have even changed the pollen filter with no avail.

 

Sounds normal to me too. It takes awhile for the A/C system to cool off the car after it's been sitting in the sun.

 

Ok you say its normal, but i have tried 2 other different vehicle's that stood in the sun (40deg) and on start up not even 1min this thing is blowing ice cold air. I also understand that everything is hot inside the vehicle, but when you put your hand on the air vents you can feel this icy cold air. What now?

 

Well then maybe you need more refrigerant in the system. Gotta get it checked out by a mechanic that does A/C work.
