I looking for to install a remote start system in my 2010 Sonata.

Problem is I getting all types of answers as to whether my vehicle needs a bypass module.

The key I have is not coded, but some dealers insist that the Sonata (as well as many other newer cars) have a factory installed security module, and for a remote stater system to work it will need to work around this module, ie. they must install a bypass module of their own (for more $$$).

Has anybody out there installed their own remote start, that could shed definitive light on this.

Is there perhaps a way I could check my car for myself?

it does not if a us model i have one on my 2010.canadian models do they have a chip in the key.
