Default Steering to Left Problem Fix!!!

My wife and I bought a 2011 Sonata Turbo the last day of January , 2011.
It became clear after driving it for a few days that the car wanted to drift to the Left all the time.
I have seen others with the same problem but instaed of not having a solution we got one from our dealer and the techs at Hyundai.
The dealer we bought ours at used to be a Chevy/GM dealer.
They had an inline tracking machine.
I guess this is a pretty sophisticated piece of equipment.
They had told us the the left drifting appeared on cars 2011 Sonatas) with a particular wheel and tire confguratio. The is to say ones with a Turbo and 18" tires and wheels.
They put our car on this machine and were able to get it to stop drifting to the left.
It seems occasionally ( depending on the road slant) to still have the steering wheel slightly turned to the left but it does not drift anymore all the time.
My wife loves the car.
Defore this car we always drove chevy's.
If your car has similar problems ask your dealer to check on the inline tracking deal. Ibanez

Default Pulling Left

I couldn't help but see your post. I just purchased a 2011 Sonata SE Turbo and started experiencing the car drastically pulling left with less than 300 miles on it. It is most noticeable on the open highway. It becomes tiresome trying to keep the vehicle going straight.

can you provide any more information regard the "inline tracking machine" i would assume it was an alignment rack but those are extremely common in dealerships and tire shops.

I understand that this in-line Tracking machine is quite costly and is only available at large GM dealers. Our dealer used to sell Chevy so they were allowed to keep theris.
You can cll the hyundai dealership in Terre Haute, Indiana for more details and ask to talk to "Paul". My wife always took the car to the dealer since it's her car. I have not seen the machine myself. I just know it solved the problem. Ibanez

The machine is a Hunter GSP 9700 with StaightTrak. I spoke to a tech at the Terre Haute Hyundai dealer and he said you want to make sure the machine is epuiped with StraightTrak. My dealer in Indy has the Hunter without StraightTrak. Looks like I'm headed to the Haute. Thanks Ibanez for the post.

Default Steering to the right?

I understand from my dealer that only two sonata versions are affected with drifting to the left.
#1 Sonatas that have the 18" tire and wheel option
#2 Sonata Turbos ( I think they all have the 18" Tire option.

yes but my Sonata is GL 16" has the pulling to the right they did alignments
from one week and they want to do it again

the wheel steering must be 3 degree to the lift to keep the car in lane
but i feel resistance in this position .

if I hold the steering in 0 position the car pulls heavily to right in any speed

This is my second week with this car too bad

I think you have a different issue. Sonatas were having a LEFT pull problem, not a right pull. I'd have the alignment checked first.
