Trim removal around stereo??

Default Trim removal around stereo??

i just bought my parents 98 sonata from them and i want to put my pioneer deck in but i cant get the trim around the stereo off to install the damn thing. i tried prying it but i dont want to damage it. have any suggestions on a good way to remove it?

9.Floor console.

[/align]
(1)Remove the console upper cover plate.[/align]

(2)Remove the console upper cover assembly.[/align]

(3)Disconnect the connectors.[/align]

(4)Remove the floor console.[/align]





10.Lower crash pad center facia panel.[/align]

(1)Remove a screw.[/align]

(2)Using the screwdriver, pry out the facia panel.[/align]

(3)Disconnect the connectors.[/align]

(4)Remove the lower crash pad center facia panel.[/align]



11.Remove the radio and disconnect the connectors.[/align]




2001 Sonata


d.Remove the console switch mounting cover and console upper cover.[/align]





e.Remove the heater control, the center facia panel, the floor console.[/align]



f.Remove the audio unit.[/align]



2005 Sonata

CENTER FACIA PANEL REPLACEMENT[/align]
1.After disconnecting the connector (A), remove the center facia panel (B).[/align]


- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.[/align]
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.[/align]



2.Installation is the reverse of removal.[/align]

AUDIO ASSENBLY REPLACEMENT[/align]

1.Remove the center facia panel.[/align]

2.Loosen the screws.[/align]



3.Disconnect the audio connector (A) and antenna cable (B), then remove the audio assembly (C).[/align]



4.Installation is the reverse of removal.[/align]
