Have just fitted 255.70.16 tyres to my car.</P>
So far so good, I fitted Bridgestone Dueler D694, also known as Deuler Revo. It seams to be the no 1 tyre in the USA.</P>

I fitted BFG AT's on mine some months ago in 255/70/16. Best investment ever made.
These babies are even better than their rumour say. They are fitted on 16x8 Cobra Alloys as they are beefier than what Hyundai can supply.
I am currently looking for at suspension enhancement - Probably a 2" lift. Problem is the IFS. I can't find any after market springs/shocks that will do the trick. I have been told that by adjusting the torsion bar, a lift can be made? The droop/suspension travel in the rear live axle is great!!

If you look at www.pedders.com.au you will find shocks and springs for the Terracan.
I have fitted the raised rear spring that lift the rear by 45mm. The front I lifted 25mm by adjusting the torque arms. Also fitted the Trukryder shocks, it made a vast improvment.

A little more info on how to adjust the torsion arms. I have been trying to figure out exactly how to go about this.
How does the ride hight difference in the rear and front affect the handling?
And what improvements did the shocks give?

The difference between the hight, front and rear make no difference on the handling of the car.
The new shocks that I fitted made all the difference and improves the handling so mush that you wont believe it.
To adjust the front hight is very simple. On the side of the car next to the drivers door, get under the car and you will see the torsion bar running from the front to the middel were it ends.
At the bottom of the chasis there the torsion bar end there is an bolt. If you turn the bolt clockwise, that side in the front will lift. About 1½ turns will raise the body 10mm. Before adusting the bolt first measure the hight from the ground to the arc in the front wheel and then adjust the bolt. After ajusting take a short drive for the suspension to settel and then do the final adjustment. Hope this will help you

PWVEN OK, will look into this during the weekend.
Is 25mm the limit when using only torsion bars? Dhow do the the standard height front springs handle the lift?
Another mod. I am planning: Extending the axle/transfer case breathers for wading. Any experience on this? I think I have located the rear axle breather, which appearently leads into some kind of chassis crossmember?? Also, I am not sure whether or not the fuel tank has a breather which needs extending?

Just looked around to see what other info there is available on torsion bar liftning.
It seems that by cranking up the ride by adjusting torsion bars, you loose wheel down travel. And this can be solved by either replacing upper bump stops with low profile bump stops or by shaving the existing bump stops. But what are your experiences?
