Default 01 tiburon starter problem

Drove home from work one day. I got back in the car and tried to start it and nothing. All lights, radio and everything else works. replaced the starter, relay and ignition switch still nothing. I cut the wire from the solenoid and touched it to the positive side of the battery and the starter engaged and cranked the car so I know the starter is good. Could it be the neutral safety switch? I am at a loss so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it could be. Is it an automatic or manual? If it's a manual, it may also be the switch on the clutch pedal.

Yes, it is a manual. Is the switch on the tranny or is it on the shifter?

CHECK CLUTCH PEDAL (M/T)

Check that pedal height, pedal freeplay and clutch pedal clevis pin play are correct. (Refer to clutch group)

CHECK STARTER RELAY
Remove the starter relay and check continuity between the terminals. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.

CHECK IGNITION LOCK SWITCH
Remove the ignition lock switch and check continuity between the terminals. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

Hi, I just bought an 01 tib used and the first thing that went is the crank sensor.Which is a timing deal. The sensor was about 100 $ and it fixed the intermittent starting problem. You need to hook it up to a diagnostic to see if that is it.
