Default 1999 clutch slipping

My transmission is slipping and the clutch engages when the clutch is almost totally out. Also when the engine has warmed up, the presssure plate slips more.

I assume that this is time to replace the pressure plate, disk and bearing. Where are good directions on how to do this. I have done the same thing on a Dodge Caravan a few years back, but it doesn't look like there is as much room to work. The transmission probably comes out the bottom, and I will probably have to jack the car up so I can move the wheels and drive shafts out of the way, right?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Default RE: 1999 clutch slipping

i had mine done about a yr ago. i didn't do it but i was helping/watching and one thing is, when taking the wheel and hub off to get the driveshaft out. just disconnect the bottom balljoint nut, the guy told me that if any other nut was taken off that the alinement would be screwed up. the tranny does come out the bottom, but be sure to disconnect the linkage from clutch, itsunder the upper part of the air intake. if you have any other question, i'll just relay them back to the guy that did mine and i'll see what he says..goodluck!
