Default airbag removal?

Is there a sticky on removal of the steering wheel? Steering wheel switch is bad for the horn. Airbag light has been on for a while now. I ran a hard wire from the battery terminal to the horn itself. Scared the carp outta myself. I know thats not the problem. Also installed a new Horn relay. I know thats not it either. Last thing has gotta be the steering wheel switch. Mayeb a spring or something. If anyone has any ideas or reccomends anything. Please let me know.

Thanks alot guys,
Mike

Since the horn and the airbag are faulty, I would suspect you are having a problem with power to the steering wheel assembly. 2000 Sonatas had a recall for wiring harness for airbags.

Im to the point where I'll just remove the steering wheel and install an after market one. Frustrating. I don't wanna get raped by the dealer either.

Disconnect your battery for 30 minutes and turn the key on before you start messing with the steering wheel. It is possible to accidentally set off the airbag and kill yourself.
