New Tiburon Owner
Yes, I just purchased a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon a month ago. The check engine light came on and started blinking when I go up to a higher speed. I went and had it checked and the ODB meter said I had 4 errors. My mechanic said start with the plugs then check the wires. The plugs looked worn and the wires had one with a rusted wire and almost broke connection. I replaced all of the plugs and wires. When I was putting the wires back on. I hooked two wires up incorrectly. It started with a rough idle and then a loud pop. Once I got everything straight. Then Check Engine light was still on and it ran good for about four miles. Then it started running rough. I went back and had the check engine light checked. This time it said there was a problem with the number 2 coil. My question is : did I crack the Coil when I cranked the car with two wires in the wrong place? Are what other issue could it be? Thanks for any help. Chris
