i have a 2000 tiburon 5speed manual. at high rpm's ( between 4000-redline) 1st gear grinds and the shifter shakes. also anyting over 3000rpm"s it grinds going into 2nd gear. but 3500 rpm"s and down it shifts fine and doesnt shake. any ideas to what this can be?! the clutch fluid was relpaced. pete

 

If the clutch fluid was replaced, then there's a chance whoever did it got some air in the system. Bleed it again.

 

Like he said. How old is your clutch though? Judging by the fact that you seem to like starting off at high RPM, I have the feeling you could have burned it out pretty quick. My 1999 Tiburon made a terrible grinding noise when my clutch started to die. Do as jsinton says and bleed it, and fill it again. If the problem comes back almost immediately, inspect your clutch for its condition.

 

well usualy i dont take off fast its just i treyd to and it happed. and when i bought the car i diddnt think to check the clutch fluid. when i checked it it was BLACK so i replacedit asap. there is no air in the lines. i changed all the stuff under the shifter ( a friend said to try) and it got a lot better. it only grinds time to time. do you know why this might have happend?
