RE: turbo/performance
Hey Pure, since your the expert and we are all amatuers at this, how about recomending what parts you would use for a turbo. I'm driving a 2001 2.0 dohc 5 speed. Can you build a mock kit and some explanations as to why you recomend the part, Basically I am asking for a crash course in Turbos101 so I know what I should look for and what I need to know before I start.

RE: turbo/performance
I could do that but first. What is your budget? What kind of power do you want, and what are you looking to do with the vehicle? Do you plan on leaving the bottom end stock? let me know and I'll figure something out

RE: turbo/performance
Well I guess I'm just looking to burn up every stupid kid with a civic who puts on an exaust and thinks he can drive.
My budget is pretty low, I'd love to stay in the $2,000.00 range but after looking at a lot of kits, I dunno if thats gonna be possible. I think I may have to see if I can grab somthing out of a junk yard and make it fit.
As of right now I'm not sure what you mean by "leaving the bottom end stock" I have a cold air intake with a K&N filter. I'm thinking about eventually putting on dual exaust. I want to lower the suspension, this was advised to me because I don't like high speed turns in this car, I used to drive a '92 talon and I could take this same turn I do every day at about 80mph. With the tibby, anything above 70MPH is kinda scary feeling.
Basically I'm looking to put some serious performance into this car just for kicks. I'm not a street racer per say, but I like driving fast. and man I HATE CIVICS. Sorry to anyone who owns them , the rest of the owners out here FL need a driving lesson. Turn signals are the law not a luxary option, then again who care, your car rattles soo much you couldn't here my horn anyway.
So again, somewher in the 2k range is my buget for a Turbo/Supercharger, which ever will give me more speed for the dollar.
