RE: Turbos
I was going to buy a kit, but still not sure if i should. I have no problem buying it but i can not afford to either blow my motor or hert it. I'm sure i'll only be able to run about 8-9 psi. I hope it will give me what i'm looking for. If you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears.

RE: Turbos
hey i have turbo my 00 tiburon and its nice took back apart to get new motor in for more hp.but with a good tune stock can take a beating one guy who builds turbo kits for are cars had his up to 17psi on good tune but you could run 10-12psi on a decent tune but its all about the tune so get it to a dyno.and get a wideband.

RE: Turbos
I just purchsed a 4 cylinder 03 hyundai tiburon, and I am looking into getting a turbo, or hoping to. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Not sure if there is a turbo for my model 4 cylinder engine. Looking to get it by next summer, get my money then and put it in, money is not an issue. Also, i was wondering what compenents I would have to get along with the turbo, manifold, intercooler, boost gauge, blow off valve, etc, (engine components wise).

RE: Turbos
im definatly reaching for upwards of 20 psi or greater on my tiburon project.... forged internals which lower the compression to about 8.5:1,9.0:1 and using a dsm turbo (polished 14b turbo with a 16g compressor side) a decent injector and bov and some other things that i have

RE: Turbos
The T3/T4 that was mentioned is a great choice. I used one in my one accent and they are phenominal. They are durable, reliable, and push enough to feel. The Three shell is a perfect match for the 4 bearing. Compression wise in my experience if your turbo project is a daily driver go for 8.5:1 for shelf life and reliability especialy if you are boosting high.
