Default 2005 Tucson Gear Slop (manual transmission)

I'd explain it, but I think the linked video shows it the best. I don't really know what to do about it. I have an appointment for inspection on Tuesday and would like to get this fixed, but don't know what it would cost, or if I could do it myself I'd be more than willing (as long as it doesn't involve removing half the engine fix it).

Also how do I remove and replace the shift boot? As you can see it's a bit worn and I'd like to see put a new one in its place.

It's involved to get the shifter boot out. You have to remove the fascia above it around the HVAC controls and the radio. Then there are two screws at the top of the plastic around the shifter that come out before you can pry it out.

Would I be able to get in and see if any bushings need to be replaced while I'm changing the boot to see if that gets rid of the wobble?
