2006 Tuscon - Rack and seat belt pretensioner
I just got back from the dealership for an oil change and a slight noise I noticed when turning the wheel from one side to the other, along with airbag and CEL lights coming on intermittently over the past few weeks. They told me I needed the following service:
bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor and ecm update: $400
4 light bulbs: $125
Drivers seat belt pretensioner: $745
Rack and Pinion Assembly: $1200
I've got no problem doing the O2 sensor, (obviously they would have to flash the ecu) and the bulbs but I was wondering about the seat belt and the rack. I found online that the seatbelt issue could possibly be soiled contacts that are causing the sensor to malfunction? Also I've never done a rack replacement on this particular car, how much of a pain in the butt is it?
Thanks
