2009 Tuscon main relay not energizing
I have tested relay, relay is good, I switched out the relay, car no start. I have jumpered the contact at the relay receptacle and the car starts fine. I can not not fine definitive info on the what the signal consists of to energize the relay outside of the ignition switch? Any and all help is appreciated. Thx

Would do the simple thing first
Check all the fuses with a test light on the two test terminals on the fuse
If that doesn't do it then get a schematic
Follow the wiring to and from the relay to see what powers it up

I already check fuses to what there is to check and the signal to energize the main relay appears to come from the computer and why I am asking if any one know what keys that to activate as service manual offers no description at all on signals

The point is to measure that signal at the ECU and then at the relay
If there is a signal at the computer and no signal at the relay then wiring is suspect
If there is no signal at the ECU then the ignition switch and wiring need to be looked into
Again schematics would help

One of the first things I was concern with was the "immobilizer" function. Using either one of my FOBs made no difference. My fix for this for now is a rocker switch I have mounted inside that I turn "on" to jumper the contacts in the relay block. Cost me $10 and about an hour of my time to wire it. SO this is my "kill switch" feature now as no one is going to start this car without flipping the switch. Not going to waste too much more of my time as I don;t think its a wiring problem and more of a signal problem with the immobilizer system.
