2014 Tucson TPMS Issues
So this happened 3 to 4 days after taking the Tucson to Hyundai dealer for Knock Sensor recall. TPMS light flashes for 1 minute then stays on. I'm aware that this means issues have arisen with one or more of the sensors, however, I had all the sensors checked at Tire Kingdom with a TPMS diagnostic tool(stood and watched) and they said that all sensors are reading and NOT defective and all tire pressures were checked & ARE correct. You would have thought they'd say, "Yeah, a cpl of sensors are bad and need replaced! We can.....". Honesty is what makes me return.
So, is this just a way the dealer screws something up so you'll have to bring the vehicle back for PAID service?
FYI, Tire Kingdom said they are unable to reset due to insurance reasons.
Can I reset these somehow manually? (Disconnecting battery for hours does nothing)
Does an OTC OBDII diagnostic device reset 'em?
What would be the next step short of replacing 4 sensors for hundreds of dollars or a 4-5 hour dealer service wait for them to say, "yeah, we can fix it for $600?"
(No, I don't mean black tape over the idiot light!!)
