Question 2017 Tuscon Keyfob programming question

Hello all and Happy New Year!
I lost one of my Kebfobs and purchased a genuine one. So now I have one originally programmed and one unprogrammed keyfob with me.
I then got the immobilizer/key programming code from the dealer and took it to a private business - not affiliated to Hyundai.

The person who was going to program the keyfob stated that it is possible that vehicle's internal codes may be wiped clean during the keyfob's reprogramming attempt rendering the vehicle non-operable. If this happens, the vehicle will have to be towed to the dealer. He stated that there is small chance of this happening. It will be a costly mistake if it happens.

My question is: how risky is this programming attempt? Please help build my confidence.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and comments.

Even if you resided across the street from the dealer, there would be a service charge for them to come and do it right.

Soooooo, if the cost for them to do it right compared to a possible service charge , I would have them do it once and do it right.
