4wd lock does not work well
Hello,
I have some problems with my 4wd lock. Last weekend I was on a short brake with my family. Whe have a caravan (1.500 kg). The car was standing on wet grass so I locked de 4wd. There was no power and the wheels where spinning. The traction control was on. When I stopped pulling and unlocked de 4wd I felt a shock. Then everything was normal. I tried it again with the same results.
Does anyone knows whats wrong.
with friendly greetings.

Just because 4WD is locked doesn't mean you will move on a slippery surface. You were probably spinning all 4 wheels, that's why you didn't move. The shock you felt is probably because you didn't stop all 4 wheel before you unlocked the 4WD.

Hello again,
I tried the lock today again without the caravan. I noticed that when I turn the steering wheel compleet to the right or left the car will move difficult en the spinning starts. Just on the road. (not slippery). When I turn the steering wheel straight there is no problem. The tire profiles are ok.
Is the car using in lock state a low geering?
