Heater not blowing hot air 2016 Tucson Limited
All HVAC functions appear to work fine like; blower, fan speed, A/C, etc. The only problem is that no hot air comes out of the heater. The air temperature does not change when the **** is turned to hot. Someone told me that it's likely a bad blend door actuator. Does this vehicle even have a blend door actuator? If so, I'm looking for someone who can tell me how to determine if it is bad and provide instructions to replace the blend door actuator.

A car heating system blowing cold air can be due to a faulty thermostat, low coolant fluid level, malfunctioning heater core, a leaking cooling system, or problems with heating controls and blend door. Just try concentrating on those parts you might find the problem

Thanks
I appreciate your reply. We know the thermostat is not faulty because there are no other problems and coolant fluid level is good. Nothing is leaking and are you sure this vehicle has a blend door? I can’t find any part number or description for a blend door with this vehicle.

Hi, chatted with one of my buddies. He suggested you check the heater blower resistor
I just googled around and found this site with heater blower resistors
Just to give you an idea check out these links or maybe give them a call

Its not Hyundai but maybe they have

There should actually be two actuators
One for temperature and another for mode (defrost, front vent)
The one for temperature should be on the right side of the center console
Which is left of the passenger's foot well for left hand side drive vehicles (US models).
The one for mode is on the left side of the center console
Which is right side of the driver's foot well
If you look at the driver's side and up slightly you should be able to see the unit
Change the mode to one of the other one and should be able to see the white plastic piece move
If broken then it may not move or just click.
I don't have a diagram nor any videos.
You can go on youtube and search for it??
Good luck. Hope you get it fixed.

Thanks, Avisitor! That's really good info. All the modes work fine so, I guess we can rule out that particular actuator as an issue. I'll look and see if the temperature control actuator is visible but the dealer told me that they'd have to remove the entire dashboard to access it and the cost is approximately $1,500. I've searched Google and Youtube with no luck finding a diagram or video as to the correct location of any actuators for a 2016 Tucson, Limited. Have you actually replaced a Tucson actuator before?

You might be jumping the gun a little. It is not impossible for a blend door problem on such a new vehicle, but you could be getting involved where you might not need to go.
What I would suggest is , check both heater hoses after the engine has warmed up and confirm that they are hot and both approx the same temp.. That should tell you if the thermostat is keeping the engine at the right operating temp.and heated coolant is circulating .. If you have both of those working then you might listen for temp and blend doors moving when different temps are selected. If not, there may be a problem with the HVAC module. This would require a scan tool to confirm correct operation. It is an extensive job and not for the typical DIY person. Usually better to take one step at a time.

If you needed to remove the the entire dashboard then the dealer must be talking about getting to the heater core, itself
The actuators should be more easily accessible. But, I really don't know. Never had to replace one.
But, many trucks have a similar design scheme
Hanky could be right, there may be other things you can check first before under taking such a complex task.
A bunch of guesses, ...
Check all the fuses to make sure the temperature control is working
Check heater hoses to see if heat is going to the heater core
Check over flow bottle to see where the level is when hot and cold
Sorry not much help.
